Elves of Auldwyn

Created by Eyralae, the elves are long-lived, graceful, and deeply shaped by memory and emotion. Their long years brought wisdom, but also loss, and from that tension arose three distinct elven traditions.

The Heart-sworn

The Heart-sworn remained among humans and other shorter-lived peoples, accepting grief as the price of love, friendship, and shared life. They became diplomats, ruling elders, and lore-keepers within mixed settlements, often honouring many gods rather than following a single common faith.

The Soul-sworn

The Soul-sworn withdrew to the deep forests, where they joined magic with nature and became healers, druids, and defenders of the living world. They welcome those who respect the wilds and are known for wisdom, swiftness, and close devotion to Eyralae and Idunaé.

The Pride-sworn

The Pride-sworn fractured violently from their kin after the poisoning of Taryion and the fall of Írimë. They fled into the Northern Wastelands, where hardship reshaped them into a hardier people. They are no longer openly hostile to all others, but their relations with the other elven traditions remain complicated.
