Humans
The children of Ennache are short-lived, numerous, restless, and quick to change. Their strength is not ancient memory or stone-deep endurance, but an urgent drive to build, adapt, and begin again.
Elves
Created by Eyralae, the elves are long-lived, graceful, and deeply shaped by memory and emotion. Their long years brought wisdom, but also loss, and from that tension arose three distinct elven traditions.
Dwarves
The dwarves claim, with certainty and considerable volume, that they were the first mortal people. Shaped by Torin from the bones of the earth, they inherit stone, craft, oath, and memory.
Gnomes
Gnomes are unusual among Auldwyn’s peoples because they were not created as a separate race. They evolved from dwarves who turned from forge and mine toward magical theory, invention, and dangerous curiosity.
Halflings
Small, quick, and frequently underestimated, halflings carry Moddoc’s gift of merriment. Their humour should never be confused for foolishness, nor their love of comfort for weakness.
Half-orcs
Born between peoples and judged by both, half-orcs often inherit orcish strength alongside talents their full-blooded kin rarely possess. Their stories are shaped by suspicion, survival, and the hard-won right to define themselves.
