What you need
Before you connect
- Game required
- Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition (NWN:EE), sold separately by Beamdog on Steam, GOG and other stores. The original 2002 Diamond edition is not supported.
- Cost to play
- Auldwyn itself is free - you only need to own NWN:EE.
- Level range
- Characters advance from level 1 to level 40, with slow, story-driven progression.
- Status
- Live now, and in active, ongoing development.
Connecting
How to connect

Launch Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition
Open the game and choose Multiplayer from the main menu.

Find Auldwyn in the server browser
Search for "Auldwyn" in the direct connect or server list, or direct connect to "play.auldwyn.net".

Let NWSync do the work
All custom content and haks download automatically the first time you connect - no manual installs.

Create your character
All races, classes and alignments are welcome. New characters typically begin in Aucklorn Vale.

Step into Auldwyn
Log in and start exploring - roleplay is encouraged but never enforced.
Servervault & NWSync
Auldwyn uses a server vault - your characters live on our server, not your local install. NWSync is enabled, so all custom content and haks download automatically the first time you connect. No manual installs required.
Making a character
All races, classes and alignments are welcome. New characters typically begin in Aucklorn Vale. See the races of Auldwyn and the pantheon for inspiration, or use IronWaffle's Character Builder to plan ahead.

Roleplay is encouraged, not enforced, and all play styles are welcome. Full rules on death, PvP and character conduct are covered in the FAQ.
